Tricycle Handing over ceremony
PWK Waste Management and Recycling proudly partnered with the University of Johannesburg ( UJ) PEE department and Whoppa Cycles to champion innovation in the green circular economy
The event held at Vyeboom in Vuwani was graced by community members, learners from nearby schools and representatives from the royal kraal.
“PWK is honored to receive two prototype E- Tricycles to support our daily operations in Vuwani and Thohoyandou, ” says Ms Susan Kone, manager of PWK.
UJ PEETS project coordinator alongside two staff members and representatives from Whoppa Cycles, conducted the handover and provided hands- on training to PWK staff on tricycle operation and maintenance.
“PWK will actively test and integrate e- tricycles into our waste collection operations “, Ms Kone concluded.
